1. Working principle
Circulating pump: The pump used for circulating water is a circulating pump, which is also its working principle. For example, the hot water in the heating pipe is circulated by the circulating water pump;
Booster pump: The booster pump is first filled with liquid, and then the centrifugal pump is started. The impeller rotates rapidly. The blades of the impeller drive the liquid to rotate. When the liquid rotates, the liquid flows to the outer edge of the impeller by inertia. At the same time, the impeller sucks the liquid into the suction chamber. This force will do work on the liquid, so that the liquid gains energy and flows out of the impeller, and then the kinetic energy and pressure energy of the liquid will increase.
2. Installation location
Booster pump: In general, the booster pump is installed on the water inlet pipe. After cutting a part of the original pipe, the pump can be connected in series to the pipe;
Circulating pump: It needs to be installed on the return pipe. The pressure of the booster system assists its circulation. Cut a section of the pipe with scissors and connect the pump in series to the pipe.
3. Operation difference
Booster pump: Most of them use automatic control, that is, an automatic switch to control the water flow. As long as there is water flow, the switch will automatically start, and if there is no water flow, the switch will automatically close;
Circulation pump: Most of them are manually controlled, and a manual switch is required to start and stop the water pump.
4. Difference in boosting
Boosting pump: It mainly solves the problem of low water pressure and belongs to the type of pump with low pressure. It mainly depends on the structure of the pump and relies on centrifugal force to increase pressure.
Circulation pump: The circulation pump has a higher pressure and can drive the circulation of the entire heating system. Because there are many differences between boosting pumps and circulation pumps, users must pay attention to identification and distinction when purchasing and using them, so that both pumps can be used to the greatest extent.
